The days are counting down before you bring baby home from the hospital. The first few months you don't have to worry about too many things around your house but you may not have the time to consider safety preparation. Why not get it out of the way beforehand so you can save the future you some unnecessary stress. The main things to consider are softening corners and electrical hazards. Children can be reckless once they take to their feet and will quickly exploit all of all the precautions you didn't take so beware. Corner Pads are essential in starting your safety project. A full speed child and hard objects can be a terrible combination if left unprotected. Next consider the cabinets and plugs. Tiny fingers like to find their ways into tiny holes in the wall that could give your child a rude awakening so be sure to use Socket Covers. Lower cabinets tend to have some of the deadliest things in our households so use Cabinet Latches to keep them away from your little explorers.
As you go on, you will find many other things that you will need to look out for but as long as you pay attention to what your child is doing and you should be fine. It's when we stop to do something "Real quick" that babies find away to scare us half to death. Here are some things we've added in our preparation project.
